Irish Dance Class – Beginners
Get moving with Irish dance.
Fun and quality have been central from the very first lesson.
The little ones first become familiar with using feet and legs to the rhythm of the music. Soon, English terms such as ‘point your toes’ and ‘turn out your feet’ are no longer strange.
Older children and adults will soon combine this technique with their first jumps ‘jumps’ and other Irish dance moves.
Irish dan is an intensive dance “sport” and is traditionally mainly practiced by children. In Belgium it is a dance discipline that also attracts many adults.

If you are old enough, you can start with ‘blocks’ and ‘toe walks’; comparable to ‘en pointe’ in ballet, but with our heavy shoes.
More complex rhythms with the heavy shoes and ‘freezing jumps’, jumps where you hang in the air in a certain position, are also discussed here.
